Going to a scrap yard to cut up discos

Hunting for roof cuts to repair 'Reds' roof.

Since Reds roof skin was beyond repair I decided to go to my local Land Rover specialist to see what they had in their yard. I remembered from my last visit that there were quite a few 'Romulus' Discovery's so my hope was to chop the rear out of one of them. Upon arrival I climbed around the heavily overgrown yard in search of a good roof, unfortunately I had no luck as every car was worse then Red! Just as I was leaving an idea crossed my mind, if a Discovery 2's rear door was the same, then maybe the rear of the roof would be the same too!

Not much left of this poor Td5

After some very precise eyeballing I decided the roof was exactly the same, up until the alpine windows.

(spoiler they aren't)

I ended up buying the whole shell of the Td5 for a very reasonable 100 pounds as the door pillars seem the same and are in very good condition which I need for '406'.
