First purchased by myself in 2022 to be used as a daily driver. She came from a breakers yard in wales where the previous owner was going to use her as a work van but was reluctant to do so as it seemed a shame to.
The timing for receiving her was rather inconvenient as I was going on holiday the day she arrived at my
workshop, I was so desperate to see my newest purchase that I went to my workshop just before leaving for
the airport to hopefully get to see her before I went away! Luckily for me she was there so I got to see her
before I went away (the only problem was I was desperate to get home and get on with fixing my car!)
When I got her I was thrilled to see the lack of rust, just a little bit on the front headlight box and the
p/s 'A' pillar. With those fixed I booked an mot and set off!
On the way there was a slight problem with total brake failure but small things like that couldn't keep me
away from an old disco!

The welded up pillar; my welding has certainly improved since then. It's a job I hope to re-do soon!
My first fixes
My first job was to get rid of the ugly Romulus discovery bumper and replace it with a correct Jay bumper. I was fortunate enough to find a bumper on eBay which even had the mega rare fog light pods --Part number-- so that was a win!
This drastically improved the look of the car, unfortunately as much as I wanted to fit the fog light pods they were quite perished and damaged and I didn't want to loose them. Fixing/ reproducing them is on my list of projects. Iain and I worked on painting and fitting the new bumper until the midnight before we set away for our first ever land rover show, setting a tradition of fixing our cars hours before shows...
